Pokemon XY: Wonder Trading Eevees!

So a few days ago I've breeding Anticipation Eevees with IVs that of an Espeon, so I can get my own Magic Bouncer. I had a female Modest Espeon, but unfortunately it has a lackluster HP stat.

What I hatched out are those has all but Speed, sometimes lacking Defense, and there are some which lacks Sp. Def, plus those having a lower HP stat (but not terrible as my female Espeon).

When I hatched up an Eevee with the stats of an Espeon. I got excited until I found out that that thing doesn't had its hidden ability. So here goes the breeding spree again.

Battle Spot Report #2: Two things a psychic specialist hate, and an Ice Punch sweep?

So for today, I ran into two things that mono-Psychic specialists would hate, and just swept a team using my Ice Punch Medicham. On the unrelated note, the opponents I ran into have the same hairstyle and wearing the same shirt Wizzy's wearing, plus the same eye colour.
"This shirt, you're asking?"

Battle Spot Report #1: Subsitute Ninjask & Rocky Helmet Uxie

I mentioned that I got into the spirit of competitive battling, right? Okay.

So I've been to the Battle Spot. I'm telling you, it's the first time I've battled on the Battle Spot! I know that the Battle Spot on XY is a bit empty...

Pokemon X: Future plans for Mixia (and Wizzy)

After I completed my X playthrough featuring Ghost-types, you maybe wondering what will Mixia do after all this. I'll probably tell you what am I going to do on X in future.

Wizzy's Psychic Analysis: Stored Power Sigilyph

As a fan of Psychic-types, I realized that I didn't mentioned a single thing about Psychic-types since my Y playthrough post (from the perspective of a noob trainer).

Yes, I was a noob. Didn't cared about the importance of competitive battling until my thousand-and-one loses at the Battle Maison. By thousand-and-one I meant from running improperly trained speed teams to running a hasty Aegislash and dying once at the Rotation challenge!

But now, my knowledge about competitive battling drastically increased over time. I realized how important natures can be, how to EV train (I thought the whole Super Training thing is to raise up a weak stat) and IV breeding thanks to my experience of breeding Ghost-types on X.
"Finally, a picture of me. Curse you Mixia, getting the privilege of close-up shots."
Nevertheless, let's introduce a Unova classic: Stored Power Sigilyph. Before I begin, let me say something aloud: I HATCHED A 6IV SIGILYPH!!!

Pokemon X: Trick-or-treats

You know that yesterday was October 31st, and it's Halloween, right? Then I did some trick-or-treating last night. I'll write what I received during the night.

Mixia's Ghost Guides: Stall Sableye

So there's a Halloween Ghost-themed competition going on, eh? I bet everyone is having their Pumpkaboo going, getting Gengar and practising Ghost teams. I wish I can let Mixia participate, but I haven't raised a Ghost team, so, no Ghost competition for me.

But it doesn't means I don't have good ideas for Ghost-type movesets. I have been thinking about running some creative Ghost builds rather than that popular Shadow-Gleam (Shadow Ball and Dazzling Gleam, which provides 99.9% coverage), and such. I've been thinking about running a Physical Froslass (impossible, right?), Rotom with STAB on Hex and Electro Ball, and an annoying Stall Sableye.
"You can thank me for my creativity."
This also reflects Mixia's cute creative nature. Much more creative than Wizzy.

So, let's start with the Stall Sableye.
"Yes, I know you're excited for it."

Pokemon X Ghost Trainer challenge: Chapter 1: Spirits of Santalune

My playlist: Invisible Wings (隐形的翅膀) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=be2wvNFTLMc

Let's begin!

Pokemon X Ghost Trainer challenge: Prologue

The Ghost-type, perhaps being one of the most infamous types of the Pokemon World, along with Poison and Dark. From the licking of a Gastly to the possession through a Honedge, death by Pokemon are blamed on the Ghost-types.

However, it should be noted that the Ghost-typing has many unique type combinations, plus a chance to negate 3 types at the same time, the Ghost-type should be something that a Fighting trainer, or a Psychic trainer, to fear. This has cause them to resort to using the Dark-type, something they refuse to use.

Perhaps the most infamous case of paranormal activity is the murder of a Marowak by Team Rocket, and because of that, this Pokemon's spirit wandered through the entire Pokemon Tower in Lavender Town, Kanto, terrorising any person that visits the towering cemetery until it was brought to rest by Red. Even this case was over, one can still feel the eeriness of Ghosts wandering Lavender...

However, one girl from Vaniville, who had heard stories about Ghost Pokemon and witnessed and befriended several Ghost Pokemon, and perhaps watched a few documentaries about the Ghost-type, including a documentary about Mega Banette and Mega Sableye in Mt. Pyre. Whether you ask for about a Ghost Pokemon or a Gym Leader or Elite Four that specializes in this type, Agatha, Morty, Phoebe, Fantina, Shauntal are notable users of Ghosts, you mention them, she knows them.

She even knew when the first Ghost-type Mega Evolution was discovered. If one checks her bookshelf, it will be mostly books written by the writer Shauntal.

In addition, this young child is gifted with the ability to listen to the voices of the Ghost World.

This child will start off her journey, meeting various Ghost-types, proof that the Ghost-type is not evil, and perhaps, find her own strength to take down an unknown evil...

Pokemon X Ghost trainer challenge: The Wishlist

There are Ghost-types that cannot be found in mid-game, right? Some can be found in the Friend Safaris, while some are unavailable in XY.

If you are willing to trade the listed Pokemon to me, feel free to add my Friend Code (which is listed in the profile section) and my 3DS username is Tan (how many times do I have to mention that?). Don't forget to post your 3DS Friend Code on the comments. Do not trade to my Y trainer Wizzy so please be patient. I will ask you to trade if I am ready.

Pokemon X Ghost trainer challenge: My rules

As I said before, I will post out the rules of my Ghost trainer challenge.

Also, my posts on the Ghost trainer challenge will be longer than my Y playthrough, so expect it to be more of short stories, even though my essay writing is horrible.

My plans: Getting Pokemon X

Today I went to the local game retailer. I was planning to get Pokemon X, but there's Y instead. So I pre-ordered X.

The retailer told me, "Be careful not to get the same copy,"

Hearing that, I quickly turned on my 3DS, opened up the Pokedex and showed him that danged Yveltal. "I got Y, okay?"

The retailer replied, "Alright, the game will come in 1 week. I shall inform you if it's available."

Now if you are wondering why I was getting X even though I have Y and I'm playing as the Psychic trainer, I have decided to do a Ghost-type monotype challenge. And my 5 reasons for getting X.

Tai Thong mooncake 2014

I'm back! As I had promised, I'm going to write up mooncakes! (Well, that's what I usually do every year...)

It's 1 week before the Mid-Autumn festival! I have write out early! (Unlike last year's...)

I'm going to start with Tai Thong's. This year they introduced a lot of snow-skin durian mooncakes, but I'm not interested in them, because I'm never a fan of durians (and I hate the smell of durians).
I don't see something special about this box.
This time I bought snow-skin mooncakes only, so expect to be a snowy-skinned-colourful-mooncake post this time.

Crickets and other miscellaneous stuff

Ah... back to my blog. It's has been five months that I haven't written anything on it. Wait, five months?! Aaaaaagh!!!!!!!

So yeah, since I felt like my blog is nearly empty, I decided to post up something recent.

Looker's Endgame Part 1

Prologue

A young trainer, who was known for destroying Team Flare, became the Champion of the Kalos League, and, in rare occasions, charismatic cuteness. His name is Calem, also known as Wizzy (my character).

After Wizzy finally met Serena in Kiloude, he was joyful that he can see and challenge his rival once again. He and her, are just a pair of mortal hearts.

Wizzy then call his Sigilyph, Archon, to fly to Camphrier, just to go to Route 8 to check his Berry Garden, then visited the Daycare to check to his Pokemon, and for hopes of receiving an egg.

Afterwards, he skated his way back to Lumiose.

Suddenly, he received a mysterious message. The message told him to meet the stranger at Looker Bureau. Wizzy recognised something: a rented building, opposite the Sushi Bar.

Unbeknownst to him, his journey as the Pokemon Champion will make him become the greatest hero in Kalos once again...

My experience in Pokemon Y

School holidays are about to over, and I did not play much Diablo (curse you lousy blinking DSL light!), and I haven't get the expansion even though I decided to get it, but not sure when.

Anyhow lets talk about my experience in the latest Pokemon installment, X/Y. (Warning: Spoilers)

Angry Birds: Arctic Eggspedition

You, pigs! Come back here!
Have a belated Christmas?

And tis' season, it will take place in Antarctica!
It's outside the season!
As of now, Season 3 has from Halloween 2012 (Haunted Hogs) to Circus Day (Abra-ca-bacon). Season 4 starts from Christmas
2013 (Arctic Eggspedition).
If you want your egg, pig, jump into the frozen waters!
This is a 25-level game pack. You will receive a new level every day till Christmas.
Humbling yourself, Captain Pig?
Level 1
The underwater physic as seen in Piglantis is reintroduced. And here's come the funny part: if a pig drops into underwater, it becomes frozen, and then shatters. For this level, topple the snow at the right part. Notice an early Golden Egg? To get it, hit the iceberg which it is on.
Level 2
Make the Christmas sleigh fall, then lift up the boulders.
Level 3
Slice the ropes hanging the pigs, then make the boulders on the top right to fall.
Level 4
Make the iceberg beneath the machine to hit the machine, then drop the bomb onto the rest of the pigs.
Level 5
Hit the furnace.
Level 6
Hit the Eskimo pig then bomb the pig near the copter and make the white bird cause the snow boulders to fall. There's a golden egg on the top cliff. Make the yellow bird dash into the cliff, or make the white bird jump into the cliff after dropping the bomb.

Level 7
Topple the snow and slice the ropes I guess?
Level 8
Make a shipwreck by hitting the snow.
Level 9
Hit the pig on the top while causing the tower on the right to fall, then bomb as much as you can.
Level 10
When nearing the snow detonate the black bird, then take out the wooden block holding the right part of the structure.
Level 11
Clear the ice block to make way for the yellow bird to hit the snow underneath the right structure.
Level 12
Cut the ropes of the wooden mines.
Level 13
Hit the snow holding the snow boulders, then bomb the remaining pigs.
Level 14
Lift the icebergs to hit the bridge and the right structure, then bomb the left structure.
Level 15
Take out the ship by hitting the left part of the ship, then clear the left structure.
Level 16
Hit the TNTs.
Level 17
Clear some parts of the left structure, then lift up the the iceball, and bomb as much as you can.
Level 18
Make the copter drop. Don't ask me how did I do that.
Level 19
Hit the snow underneath the middle tower to cause the furnace to detonate, hit the bottom left wood of the right tower.
Level 20
Make the boulder pile topple the structure, then take out the remaining pigs.
Level 21
Make the TNT explode. Can be a trick shot:

Level 22
Ensure maximum destruction!
Level 23
Lift the iceball, then make the snow pile fall to hit the pigs.
Level 24
Hit the snow pile on the left, then lift the icebergs to hit the bridge, and bomb down the sled on the top.
FinaL LeVeL
Drop the bomb onto the snow to make the structures on top of the snow to fall, then take out the furnace!
Just in time for Christmas! Wait, where are the eggs?
Furnace with shiny window!
It's time for bonus levels!
That's should be warm enough for everyone!
Drop the stone blocks to lift up the icebergs.

When you hit the stone blocks they will drop.
Make the Christmas sleigh fall or drop the furnace. Destroy as much as you can.
Destroy the monster by cutting the rope beneath!
Release the triangle...
...and let the boulders rain!
At least I'm glad that the underwater physic is back. The game pack is much adventure-based rather Christmas-based. And sometimes the phone responds a bit slowly after calculating the remaining birds left.

Well then, Happy New Year!

My rating: 4.5 stars

Hatyai-Krabi trip Day 5: Malaysia!!!!

Ah, going back is perhaps one of my favourite part of traveling overseas. Why? Because everytime when it's comes to going to another country (for example, Thailand), I'll always thought "Malaysia, I'm going to miss everything".

Hatyai-Krabi trip Day 4: Back to Hatyai

For this post I have to refer to my map, because when it come's to writing blogs about traveling, you need a map. (Runs back to bedroom to find useless brochures)

Now time to head back to Hatyai.

Hatyai-Krabi trip Day 3: Ko Phi Phi

Now I managed trying to getting over with my 5-day trip of 2012. Time to head for the beaches!

(I don't want to get my flip-flops wet.)
