My plans: Getting Pokemon X

Today I went to the local game retailer. I was planning to get Pokemon X, but there's Y instead. So I pre-ordered X.

The retailer told me, "Be careful not to get the same copy,"

Hearing that, I quickly turned on my 3DS, opened up the Pokedex and showed him that danged Yveltal. "I got Y, okay?"

The retailer replied, "Alright, the game will come in 1 week. I shall inform you if it's available."

Now if you are wondering why I was getting X even though I have Y and I'm playing as the Psychic trainer, I have decided to do a Ghost-type monotype challenge. And my 5 reasons for getting X.

5. In Kalos, everything is Psychic- and Ghost-friendly

Throughout the Gym challenges and the Elite Four, none of them specialise in Dark- or Ghost- types (there's a Bug-type gym, but it's in early game). So, I ain't going to have a problem doing a Ghost tun.

And speaking of Dark- and Ghost- types, I ain't going to survive the Hoenn Elite Four in the RS remakes...

4. Psychics and Hex Maniacs are the same things in Kalos

Starting from Diamond and Pearl, Hex Maniacs, aka Ghost users, discontinued appearing but returned in XY. And that time the Psychic trainer class also specialise in Ghost-types. So, my Psychic trainer in Y, Wizzy, and my soon-to-be Ghost trainer in X, will be rivals, right?

3. Why do I get Shellder and Cloyster in Y?!?

In my Psychic monotype run (which I think I failed at), I was thinking about getting a Staryu, but I got Shellder (and then Cloyster!). Totally frustrating.

But I did catch a Shellder, just to see if it have to do something to Slowpoke, but in the end, it didn't.

2. In my opinion, Xerneas is better than Yveltal

Because Xerneas is a Fairy-type while Yveltal is a Dark-type. I hate Dark-types, because they hurt Psychic-types horribly. Okay, maybe Dark is my second hated type and used to be my most hated type, but Poison is now that I hate the most because it kills Fairies.

Think about it, Fairy helps Psychic by eliminating Dark-types, but Psychic helps Fairy in return by eliminating Poison. So my suggestion is: If that Psychic-type Pokemon is capable of Dazzling Gleam (a Fairy move), make use of it; if that Fairy-type Pokemon is capable of Psychic, it is advised to used it.

But I think it's going to be off topic right now. Back to the topic. Xerneas represents Life and Light, but Yveltal represents Destruction and Darkness, lore-wise in the Pokemon world. That's why I rarely touched Yveltal at all, even this demon is enjoying my presence in Poke-Amie.

At least both of them are capable of Psychic, right? Just to counter something...

1. The statements above are just long excuses. I just want to play as the female character...

Alright, I admit it. I want to play as the girl trainer on X. I mean, really, with the trainer customisation around, there's a good reason to play as her. She gets a lot of cute stuff compared to the male trainer (or Wizzy).

I will call her Mixia on X.

What? I ran out of good ideas for a unique and cute name for a Ghost trainer girl... even though this name doesn't sound like a Ghost trainer.

Well, you may get the reference.

So, I should be getting back to my research on what Ghost-types should use and what should Mixia be dressed like. I will post out the challenge's rules, but I changed some of the rules for simplicity's sake.

One week to go and I will be starting my Ghost trainer career! And the school holidays!
