Pokemon X Ghost Trainer challenge: Chapter 13: Lumiose wanderer

My playlist: Hair Like Snow (发如雪) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aaM7qG2ycjk

Going around Lumiose, again.

Mixia has her lunch at the two star restaurant, Le Yeah. She somehow did not enjoy it there, she complained that the staff are not allocating the number of turns.

After lunch, she decided to do some shopping at the Poke Ball Boutique. A rule about Poke Balls is noted in Wizzy's guide:

"Training Rule #3- The catch rate of the Heal Ball and the Luxury Ball is the same as the Poke Ball. Heal Balls act as the perfect alternative, good for catching a Pokemon you are going to use instantly after catching. The Luxury Ball should be used on Pokemon that evolves with friendship, such as Eevee, Riolu and Zubat."

She also buys four Lumiose Galattes, one for herself, and the three for her Pokemon.

At Rouge Plaza, there's an rented house opposite the Sushi High Roller:
Then, she heads off to the salon to change her hairstyle. The new hairstyle makes her look much cuter than her previous one:
"I don't resemble my idol anymore, but I still looked cute, right?"
"Close up of me without the hat. Yes, I know I looked pale."
She did try out something at the Boutique. While she is working on her Ghost Trainer outfit (aka default outfit), she do figure out an alternatively coloured Lumiose outfit, fitting for a Ghost Trainer. When she tries it out, she feels there's something wrong...
"Fancy enough. It's cute, and it could be what I would wear when I'm going to the Chateau, but the skirt doesn't seems right..."
"Alright, I should try out something else someday... That's not the right outfit I'm looking for." she thought. "What's important now is that I should get my fifth Badge."

She visited Lysandre Cafe, somewhere in Magenta. She also wondered what's a Team Flare Grunt standing outside the cafe doing.

However, the spirits did not speak a thing about the Grunt, but they said they sense the evil is near in the cafe.

The Lumiose Gym is located within the Prism Tower. In the Gym it's a quiz-like challenge where Trainers have to know what's the appearance of a Pokemon.

One of Clemont's notes is located on the ground floor. Bonnie must have dropped it.

"Rotom... This mysterious Electric-Ghost-type, discovered by the Plasma Scientist Charon back in Sinnoh, is perhaps one of the most annoying Electric-types I ran into so far. Only appearing in trash cans in the Lost Hotel outside Lumiose on Tuesdays, these things are very hard to catch. Dang that thing, it always blows up my inventions, and my own customized Poke Balls when I try to catch it..."

"Clemont also invents Poke Balls? Looks like he had a hard time catching it." said Mixia.

There was a question where Mixia doesn't know about whom of the elemental monkeys is which. "Dang it! I had Leafy, Watery and Firey and yet I have to check the Pokedex to see who is who." she mumbled.

On the other hand, she leaves the battling to Wally. Wally then evolves into a Golurk. Mixia smiled.
"I'm so proud of Wally."
On the top floor, Clemont is waiting. His speech is messed up by Bonnie, much to Mixia's amusement.

"Okay, Bonnie. That's enough jokes for now. Big kids should do something serious like Pokemon battling." said Mixia.

"Clemont, have you seen a Pokemon called Rotom?" asked Mixia.

"Well, I heard of one at the abandoned Hotel outside Laverre, but it simply got away when I'm about to catch it..." replied Clemont.

"Sounds like an interesting Pokemon to me. Alright, time to get serious!" said Mixia.

Clemont sends out a flying squirrel-like Pokemon, Emolga. Mixia is annoyed by the fact that it is a Flying-type, so Wally Power-up Punches the Emolga instead. It got paralyzed due to Emolga being Static, but Wally managed to cure itself of paralysis, much to Mixia's suprise. Then, Wally throws up a Shadow Punch, knocking down Emolga.

Clemont then sends out a reptilian Electrc-type, Heliolisk. Just before Wally can unleash an Earthquake, the Heliolisk simply create a Grass Know on Wally, causing it to fall down.

"I should have listen to Ramos more." said Mixia.

She sends out Spectre, but then realises Spectre is too weak to handle a Thunderbolt, so she sends out her Pumpkaboo instead. Creating a Scary Face, Pumpkaboo proceeds to Rock Smash it.

Then, Clemont sends in Magneton, a mechanical Pokemon with three Magnetmite connected to each other. Rock Smashing Magneton, it got nearly hit by Magneton's Mirror Shot, and Pumpkaboo finally Rock Smashes it.

"So much for Wally..." said Mixia.

"M-my brother, you lost?" lamented Bonnie.

"Don't worry Bonnie, he knows how to stay strong." advised Mixia.

Mixia is given the Voltage Badge, a flat, cone-shaped Badge with bolts coming out from the center. She is also given the TM for Thunderbolt, one of the most popular moves in the Pokemon battling community.

Clemont's speech about TMs is also interrupted by Bonnie.

"If I were to get a Rotom, I may make use of it." thought Mixia.

Coming down from the Gym, Mixia is invited by Sycamore to listen to Lysandre's lecture at Lysandre Cafe.

Perhaps Mixia's most memorable quote in Lysandre's speech, "Those who give, and those who take", reminded her of how the Spirit World lives in harmony.

But the spirits continue to suspect Lysandre about the "True Evil". "Lysandre seems trust-able. Why complain about him?" whispered Mixia.

She talked to a man who is worried about his grandmother and the advice. "Oh, if you do, the spirits will find you." these are the only words Mixia said.

A Lady admired Team Flare. "Are you mad? Remember what happened at the Blackout?" Mixia complained.

Leaving the cafe, she gets a call from Trevor, asking her to meet at Route 14. She is looking forward to it.

Author's note

The Lumiose outfit I'm working on for Mixia will be cute. The above picture is an alternate colour variant in progress. The hat, shirt, socks, shoes and bag above matched correctly, but the hat accessory is a different colour (why the felt hats plus hat ribbon colours are inverted each other?), and the skirt is not correct. Kilt skirts? They look fancy on Mixia, but what I plan is a pleated skirt. Maybe I should write a post on Mixia's outfit concept.
"This is where the set should belong."
I thought Wally shall take care of everything, but didn't realize a sudden Grass Knot can trip it down. So as Ramos says, never underestimate the power of Grass.

Mixia will definitely have a good time on Route 14. You know what I mean. And I should be keeping that Pumpkaboo, because I need a Haunter.
